Key concepts in Able

Able has several key concepts within it's data model:

  • Projects

  • Programs

  • Components

  • Workshops

  • Sessions

  • Microlearning

  • Modules

  • Organisations

  • Participants

  • Practitioners

Understanding Projects

A Project is a container for a leadership or learning & development initiative that serves as an umbrella for a single or multiple Programs.

  • All Projects have at least one Program within them.

  • All Programs are part of only one Project.

  • Projects can contain many Programs.

Projects are the overarching engagement with a client organisation and particularly useful for large-scale projects that have multiple cohorts and/or multiple program types. Projects provide the structure for planning, delivering, and tracking progress across many cohorts, locations, or business units. They serve as the primary container for reporting.

Understanding Programs

A Program is a specific, cohort-based learning journey that sits within a Project. Each Program brings together a defined group of participants and takes them through a sequenced set of leadership development experiences. These experiences can include:

  • Workshops: online or in-person groups sessions with a facilitator/s.

  • Coaching Sessions: 1-on-1 or group coaching )

  • Microlearning: self-paced digital content, readings, or interactive tools.

Multiple Programs can run concurrently or sequentially within a single Project to scale impact across the organization.
