All Programs have several information fields, roles, settings and notes that can be found on the Program Settings page associated with each Program. This article explains what each field does.
Program Name, Number and Company Fields
Program/job Number: this is an auto created program identification number, unique to the program. You can not edit it.
Company: this is a reference to the client Company the program is for. This can only be edited on the Project Settings page.
Program Name: this is the name of the individual program-cohort. It defaults to “Program 1” when first created. You can edit this field.
Program Dates
Program Start: this is an auto calculated start date. It is calculated based on the first program event ie. email, survey, workshop or coaching session.
Program End: this is an auto calculated end date. It is calculated based on the last program event ie. email, survey, workshop or coaching session.
Program Status
Program Status is an auto calculated field. It is calculated based on several events as outlined below.
Setup: programs automatically start in Setup.
Active: programs automatically change to Active after the first event.
You can set a program to Active prior to the first event if you want to generate an invoice on Able and start sending monthly program updates to clients prior to the first program events.

To Be Closed: programs automatically change to To Be Closed after the all financial items such as invoices and payments are resolved and match.

Program Start and End Dates and Status are displayed throughout Able like in the Program list below:

Payout Percentages
If you are using the Costing features of Able you need to set the percentage payouts for these specific project roles.
Delivery Percentage:
This is the percentage of the total program revenue that will go to a delivery provider for a specific component.
Eg. if the total revenue you charge a client for a coaching session is $500 and you make the Delivery Percentage 50%, the payout to the coach for that session will be $500 x 50% = $250.
This payout is calculated to be paid out after each component is delivered.
Sales Delivery Percentage:
This is the percentage of the total program revenue that will go to the Sales Partner role for the program.
Eg. if the total revenue you charge a client for a program is $10,000 and you make the Sales Delivery Percentage 10%, the payout to the Sales Partner for that program will be $10,000 x 10% = $1,000.
This payout is calculated to be paid out as the program is delivered eg. if you deliver your $10,000 project evenly over five months ($2,000 per month) then every month the Sales Partner will receive $200 ($2,000/month x 10% = $200/month).
PLC Percentage:
This is the percentage of the total program revenue that will go to the Lead Consultant role for the program.
Eg. if the total revenue you charge a client for a program is $10,000 and you make the Sales Delivery Percentage 10%, the payout to the Lead Consultant for that program will be $10,000 x 10% = $1,000.
This payout is calculated to be paid out as the program is delivered eg. if you deliver your $10,000 project evenly over five months ($2,000 per month) then every month the Sales Partner will receive $200 ($2,000/month x 10% = $200/month).
Program Notes
Program Notes are any information you would like your program delivery team to know. They are different from Project Notes.
Program Notes can be seen by the project delivery team on the Program Program Information page (see screenshot below) and on the Individual participant “Notes” tab.
They are not visible to Client Organisations or Learners.
Booking Instructions
Booking Instructions appears on the coaching booking pages when Learners are booking coaching sessions.
Delete & Update Program
Delete Program: Programs can only be deleted after all individual components (ie. workshops, coaching sessions etc) and all participants are deleted. This can not be undone.
Update Program: save changes to your settings when you change settings or information on the page.
